So I'm wondering if there is any situation where the tipi fire is superior to other styles. I've really struggled with building them and wonder If, given the other methods available, there's any good reason to build one. For cooking I can easily build a log cabin fire, and I haven't found a situation yet where I've been disappointed with an upside down/pyramid/self-feeding style fire for a general duty fire.
