In a very cold environment, does it make sense to sleep during the day, when the environment is warmest because of the sun?

Hi /r/survival!I am thinking about doing a long walk in a few years, after I finish university. I've been reading and trying things out, and will try more and learn more for the years to come. I am thinking of being able to live through colder environments (say during winter) during my walk.I know that the body's temperature drops when we sleep, and it can be very dangerous to fall asleep in a not-warm-enough environment.Of course, you'd want proper covering and insulation. But, does it make sense to use the night for all other activities? I realize that at night it can be very dark. One could improvise a torch of fortune for a light at night, I think. Thanks!wilornel http://ift.tt/2fbqwWc
