Best wood for food

Hi all,I am quite new to the whole bushcraft thing, but I spent couple of last weekends in local forests and made a handful of firecamps. Do all of the kinds of wood have to make me smell like a smoke for next day or two? Not mentioning my hands, which tend to smell a bit more intense and longer.Well, this is just a small concern. But! It made think, if there are kinds of smoke, that are not good for my food/health? Which trees should I avoid, if any? I've heard, that birch is not so good because it is oily (tar). The best place I currently have has a lot of fir and spruce.Any comments on that? http://ift.tt/2fIuZ0j
